Stay Warm, Save Your Qi!
As we transition into fall, connect with nature and follow its patterns. When the air gets cool, keep your body warm. Conserve your Qi! Instead of relying on your body’s own your resources to keep yourself warm, follow these tips!
Wear warm clothing and keep your skin covered on cool and windy days.
Keep your feet and head warm! (Socks and hats are a must on chilly days.)
As the weather transitions, the temperature sometimes resembles Summer. Remember, the essence of Fall is still cool. Dress for the season!
Infuse warmth into your meals.
Enjoy warm barley cereal or baked pears and almonds for breakfast.
Sauté your veggies or make soups that you can enjoy all week long.
Trade the colder drinks for ginger tea and honey.
Add spices like cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger to your meals.
Give them a shot. In doing so you may find the transition into the fall and winter to be a smoother one - better energy, more even mood, less vulnerable to whatever bugs are circulating, and more.
